Privacy Policy

Effective from: [MONTH] [DAY], 2026 · Last updated: 14 August 2026

Draft document — legal review required

This policy is a starting point based on the website's current functionality (the contact form and embedded Google Fonts). Every placeholder in square brackets [ ] must be replaced with real, verified information before publishing. This is not legal advice — have a lawyer or privacy professional review it before publication, especially regarding any future handling of health/patient data, which this document does not currently cover.

This notice explains what personal data is processed when you use the berczicsaba.hu website (the "Website") and fill in the contact form on it, for what purpose and on what legal basis, for how long, and what rights you have under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the applicable Hungarian data protection act (Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and on Freedom of Information).

1. The data controller

Name: Dr. Csaba Berczi
Registered / mailing address: [REGISTERED OR MAILING ADDRESS]
Registration / tax number (if applicable): [TAX NUMBER / LICENCE NUMBER]

The Website itself does not collect health (patient) data: appointment booking takes place directly through the listed private clinics (Magnus Med, UD youMed), in their own systems and under their own privacy notices. The processing described here relates only to the Website's contact form and general operation.

2. Data processed via the contact form

If you fill in and submit the form in the "Want to send a message?" section of the Website, we process the following data:

Data Purpose Legal basis
NameIdentifying the sender, replyingGDPR Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest (responding to inquiries)
Phone number or email addressContact, replyingGDPR Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest
Message textUnderstanding and answering the inquiryGDPR Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest

Filling in the form is voluntary. The Name and Phone/email fields are required for the form to function technically (without them the inquiry cannot be sent or answered); the Message field is optional. If the required data is not provided, the inquiry cannot be submitted.

Retention period: data received via the form is kept for up to [RETENTION PERIOD, SUGGESTED DEFAULT: 1 YEAR] from when the inquiry is answered or closed, after which it is deleted — unless a longer retention period is required by law, or you request earlier deletion.

3. Third-party providers and data transfers

Web3Forms (form-processing service)

Submissions from the contact form are processed and emailed to the controller by Web3Forms (operated by Web3Forms LLC, United States — web3forms.com/privacy), which acts as a data processor. As this provider operates outside the European Economic Area (EEA), in the United States, the transfer takes place subject to the safeguards required by GDPR Chapter V (e.g. standard contractual clauses) — see Web3Forms' own privacy policy for details.

Google Fonts

The Website loads its typefaces (Manrope, Spectral) from Google Fonts. When these fonts are fetched, your browser technically connects to Google's servers, which involves your IP address being transmitted to Google (Google Ireland Limited). This request does not use cookies and is not used for identification or advertising — it exists solely to render the typefaces. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

The Website does not set its own cookies and does not currently use any analytics/tracking code (e.g. Google Analytics). If this changes in the future, this notice will be updated and, where required, supplemented with a cookie notice and a consent banner.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding the personal data we process about you. Requests can be sent to the contact details above; we respond without undue delay and within one month at the latest.

  • Right of access (Art. 15) — you can ask whether we process data about you and, if so, what data.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16) — you can request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17) — you can request deletion of your data where it is no longer needed, or you withdraw consent / object to processing.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18).
  • Right to object (Art. 21) — you can object at any time to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20) — you can request the data you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

5. Remedies

If you believe the processing of your data infringes the GDPR or applicable Hungarian law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, or bring proceedings before a court:

Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH)
Address: 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11, Hungary (verify current details on naih.hu, as contact details occasionally change)
Postal address: 1363 Budapest, Pf. 9., Hungary
Phone: +36 (1) 391-1400
Website: www.naih.hu

You may also bring court proceedings before the competent Hungarian regional court ("törvényszék") of the controller's registered seat, or, at your choice, of your own place of residence or habitual stay.

6. Data security

The controller applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data processed against unauthorised access, alteration, transmission, disclosure, deletion or destruction, as well as accidental loss or damage. The Website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

7. Changes to this notice

The controller reserves the right to update this notice, in particular following a change in law or in how the Website operates (e.g. a new service or tracking code being introduced). The current version is always available on this page; for significant changes, we will highlight this on the Website.
